I often get asked why I make pens or where did I get the idea to do this. The answer is simple: many years ago whilst lecturing at a college, one of my mature students presented me with a pen that he had made as a thankyou at the end of a course. I was blown away by how beautiful and thoughtful the gift was ( I still have the pen to this day and remember his name - Derek. Thank you Derek for the inspiration).

I don't have the best memory in the world but the fact that I can still recall this magical moment so clearly, goes to show how much of a lasting impact this gift had on me.

It makes me happy to think I can help someone else have the same experience by giving a truly unique and memorable gift.
